Activities

Marrington students may participate in a variety of activities:

Jr. Student to Student is a team created to actively assist  incoming and exiting students in three areas: Finding the Way, Academics, and Relationships.  Incoming students feel welcomed, comfortable, included, and accepted into their new school community.  For exiting students, the team helps prepare them for their transition to another school.  Students may apply at anytime to join the team.  For more information, contact Mr. Bell, click here.

The Middle School Mock Trial Program is a hands-on exercise in learning about due process. It is a team activity program that is most often conducted as an extracurricular activity, but it can also incorporated into law, forensics, or public speaking classes. Students representing attorneys and witnesses for both sides of a fictional case role play that case being tried in court. The students are guided in their case through support of their teacher and attorney coaches. The program teaches the legal process and trial procedure.  For further information, please contact Mr. Sorrell, click here.
